History of Maine Standards

Maine Standards Company, established in 2001, specializes in developing and manufacturing products of the highest quality and serve the needs of the clinical laboratory for calibration verification (linearity), reportable range validation and new instrument performance validation. An integral part of a laboratory’s Quality Assurance program, linearity testing is required by many laboratory accreditation programs and by 42 CFR Part 493 for non-waived laboratories. Performed on a regular basis, linearity testing provides an on-going level of assurance that test systems continue to perform in a linear manner throughout the full reportable range.

While recently established, Maine Standards Company has a history steeped in the linearity market. Personnel at Maine Standards have over 30 years experience in this business.

Maine Standards Company’s founder, Tom Happe, also started the very first linearity company nearly 20 years ago. With all of this experience, Tom has a keen insight into this market. Moving from the success of his first company, Tom created Maine Standards Company to truly provide customers with products that meet their exact needs.
