Maine Standards Introduces VALIDATE® Calibration Verification / Linearity Products for Physician Office Laboratories
(Windham, Maine)--Under federal regulations physician office laboratories (POLs) are required to perform routine quality control testing to ensure the highest level of patient care. These stricter CLIA ’88 standards have required POLs to perform calibration verification/linearity testing. Maine Standards has developed testing kits to specifically take the worry and hassle out of meeting these standards.
Reliable lab results depend on a quality control program that includes regular calibration verification / linearity testing. VALIDATE® products from Maine Standards are designed to make linearity testing faster and easier for labs of all sizes. Kits are ready-to-use linearity test sets designed to make calibration verification, reportable range validation and new instrument linearity testing precise and straightforward for POL staff.

VALIDATE® test kits are liquid and no reconstitution is required, minimizing the need for any manual dilutions. This reduces a lab’s labor costs and minimizes the potential for pipetting errors. In addition, VALIDATE® products contain enough volume for labs to complete two calibration verification/linearity validation testing cycles.
Laboratories can choose between two ways to process data, both free of charge. Instant linearity results are available with the company’s do-it-yourself software, MSDRx®. Or, laboratories can fax or email results to Maine Standards for data reduction with a quick turnaround time of five business days or less on both linearity and peer group analysis.
