News

Maine Standards Company is in the process of replacing our VALIDATE® CHEM product line with VALIDATE® GC, making calibration verification / linearity testing for general chemistries even easier.

The new GC product line includes the same analytes as the Chem product line but with fewer kits, therefore, saving labs critical setup time.  Also, the GC product line uses human serum-based materials, wherever possible, which more closely mimic patient samples.

To date, our Beckman, Siemens Dimension and Siemens Advia instrument-specific configurations have been converted to GC and we are actively developing Roche and Vitros GC configurations.

  • Maine Standards Company, LLC Releases New VALIDATE® Cardiac Marker Test Set
    (Windham, ME) -- Maine Standards Company, LLC recently received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the VALIDATE® CM2 test set.  The VALIDATE® CM2 test set includes BNP / nt-proBNP, hsCRP and Troponin for easier calibration verification / linearity testing.  This clearance will allow clinical laboratories to more easily complete their required cardiac marker linearity testing and to maximize reportable ranges while minimizing manual dilutions.
  • Maine Standards Company Introduces VALIDATE®Calibration Verification / Linearity Products for Physician Office Laboratories
    (Windham, ME) -- Under federal regulations physician office laboratories (POLs) are required to perform routine quality control testing to ensure the highest level of patient care.  These stricter CLIA ’88 standards have required POLs to perform calibration verification / linearity testing.  Maine Standards Company has developed testing kits to specifically take the worry and hassle out of meeting these standards.
  • IMPROVED VALIDATE® THYROID TEST SETS

    (Windham, ME) -- Maine Standards Company, LLC recently received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the addition of the analyte free T4 to the VALIDATE® THY test set.  The VALIDATE® THY test set now includes total T3, total T4, TSH, cortisol and free T4 for easier calibration verification / linearity testing.  This clearance will allow clinical laboratories to more easily complete their required Thyroid linearity testing and to maximize reportable ranges while minimizing manual dilutions.
