Company History
Nearly 20 years ago Tom Happe, Maine Standards Company’s founder, started the very first linearity company. With keen market insight and the success of his first company, Tom moved forward to create Maine Standards Company to provide customers with a growing list of innovative products to meet their exact needs.
Maine Standards Company, established in 2001, specializes in calibration verification / linearity testing, serving the needs of clinical laboratories, and most recently, physician office labs. We consistently develop and manufacture products of the highest quality for calibration verification / linearity, reportable range validation and new instrument performance validation.
Maine Standards Company has a history steeped in the linearity market. Personnel at Maine Standards have over 50 years experience in this business.
Performed on a regular basis, linearity testing provides ongoing reassurance that test systems perform in a linear manner throughout the full reportable range. Linearity testing is an integral part of a laboratory’s Quality Assurance program, which is why it is required by many laboratory accreditation programs and by 42 CFR Part 493 for non-waived laboratories.
